1. If somebody clicks four times on your add during a day with random intervals, you get charged for it.
2. I as a computer tech, I can be Andreas from Alexandria or Hugo from xyz state and city a b or c within 60 seconds, with all five unique computer identifers changed. So how many different computer identfying identities can I get at least. The answer is 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 = 240 possibilites with five variables. What about if one variable has nearly enless possibilites. Then the answer is endless possibilites with a certain probability.  But what good does that do to prevent click fraud? If you have a competitor who is out to get you, you have to be as alert as a super computer dealing with quantum physics and caos theory. I am just starting to try http://whosclickingwho.com/ out, which is an ppc audit and report tool. I hope it works.

I never thought I would fall the victim of competition ppc fraud, but one never stops learning.  All the statistical data a marketer and webmaster depends on gets screwed up with ppc competition click fraud. And the small fact (sarcastic humor) that you loose thousands of dollars every month, it might even shut down your company.

Please let me know what you think, let's work together!

PS: Here is a story which gives you energy and faith! This story says it all! ( This is not meant to be marketing, it is simply a good ppc competition fraud story)

The Birth of WhosClickingWho?™

John Carreras holds a company that has been a leader in the Trade Show Product Industry for over 20 years. As a high-end Pay-per-Click Search Engine bidder, he had always been suspicious his competitors were clicking on his pay-per-click listings across several search engines, but he certainly didn't want to hire an extra person just to sit around and pour through his server logs. And he felt: maybe he was just being a bit paranoid.

Then, one day he realized he wasn't being paranoid. He had returned from a large trade show given in his industry. He checked his week's PPC expenditures, and they were about half what they always were. This confirmed his long-help suspicions. All his competitors were at the trade show - so they didn't have time to go clicking on his listings. His blood was boiling, and he decided he had to do something. And he realized that if he needed a solution, others did too.

With the help of other team members, he created PPC Auditing software. It took over 2 years, and there were the usual development hurdles, but he and his team worked through each one of them.

The Results

John Carreras was spending an average of $5000 per month before WCW auditing software was installed. Over 6 months, his expenditures have gradually decreased to about half that amount. And his sales are still even. He got rid of the fraudulent clicks!

Large Subscription Website Network Sees 10% Reduction in Acquisition Cost Within Weeks.

The marketing manager of a large network of subscription websites subscribed to WhosClickingWho?™ in order to analyze the tens of thousands of clicks they were buying on a monthly basis.  Less than two weeks later, their company saw a significant reduction in the number of clicks they were being charged for. After further investigation, they found that their problem hadn't been "click fraud" by definition, rather it was uneducated users!

Many of their registered users were going to their website on a daily basis via their pay per click ads. Rather than bookmarking the website, they had been doing the same search on Google and clicking the ad they recognized on the right hand side each day.  Once the WhosClickingWho? Clickminder™appeared to these users (after 5 clicks) and asked them to bookmark the website, they stopped using the PPC ads to get to their site - an instant savings!

Today, the company's new customer acquisition cost is down 10% from what it was before WhosClickingWho?™
