Ok. A human made sitemap is difficult to understand for search engines. That is why somebody invented the extended mark up language for sitemaps.
Google has a sitemap submission tool called Google Sitemaps, an absolute must when you want to deal with Google organic listings. It is also easier to read for all the other search engines. Do not forget, search engines are machines.
Here is the link to an excellent xml sitemap generation program, took me 4 hours to find, I use it once a week. There are free programs but sometimes Google Sitemaps cannot read them correctly and it says submission error. Wait another week for the next try...I do not think so.
